Sustainability statements

Sustainability statements look at a site in a wider context relating to social,enviromental and economic issues.They are used to accompany planning applications for mixed use developments.Various assessment methods are used including SAP,The code for sustainable homes and BREEAM.

Sustainable development

Local authorities have varying policies and guidelines with regard to sustainable development and usually look at several areas of enviromental impact including,Renewable energy,water usage and drainage,biodiversity,reducing pollution and using natural resources more efficiently.

We provide Sustainability Statements covering key sustainability issues to fulfil the various requirements of different local planning authorities throughout the United Kingdom.

When to provide a sustainability statement.

Sustainablilty statements are required for any new development that creates new homes or commercial properties.This is split into large and small scale projects,large being five or more homes or more than 235sq m for commercial floorspace.Small being less than five homes or up to 235sq m of floorspace.
