BREEAM Eco Homes (scheme)

The ecohomes scheme covers new,converted or renovated homes.In April 2007 the code for sustainable homes replaced Eco Homes for the assessment of new housing in England wales and Norhern Ireland it continues to be used in Scotland.

This scheme is used for social housing stock and is a desk based assessment tool to monitor the enviromental performance of housing.It can track any improvements made during maintenance,provide a performance monitor and highlight any areas that need improvement.

This version of BREEAM does not give a rating of pass,good,very good or excellent but a single benchmark score so that progress can be monitored.
